Description
Indie Head Massage is the art of manipulating the soft tissue of the scalp, face, neck and the extra time allows for tension release in the upper back and shoulder region as well. Warmed fractionated coconut oil is infused with essential oils and is applied to the neck, upper back, around the hairline and massaged into the scalp. For treatment on the face, a non-comedogenic squalane face oil is massaged into the skin, and cold roller balls are applied afterwards to soothe sinus regions and alleviate tension around the jaw and temples. Techniques employed in this treatment are within the Scope of Practice for Massage Therapy, therefore can be claimed for insurance benefits.
